Responsibilities
- Provide specialized, high-quality care for patients with cardiovascular disease in the context of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
- Diagnose and manage cardiovascular conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and coronary artery disease in the context of cancer therapy.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of cardiovascular status, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing (e.g., EKG, echocardiogram, stress tests).
- Educate patients and families on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and early warning signs of cardiovascular complications.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Adult Acute Care NP (AG-ACNP), Adult Primary Care, or FNP specialty.
- BLS certification.
- Maryland nurse practitioner license.
- Advanced clinical judgment, strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and technology proficiency (Excel, Word, EHR).
