Pay Package
- Weekly Gross Pay: $2,700
- Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,500
- Taxable Wages: $1,200
Nurse America is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for an exciting travel opportunity in the Pittsburgh area, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for a highly skilled perioperative nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is comfortable working with a wide variety of complex surgical cases.
The ideal candidate will possess strong circulating and scrub experience and demonstrate expertise in trauma, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, robotic, and general surgical procedures.
Requirements
- Active RN License (Compact Accepted)
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience within the last 3 years (3 years preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of Level I Trauma experience within the last 3 years
- Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Strong circulating and scrub experience required
- One professional reference within the last 36 months
- No employment gaps exceeding 90 days in work history
- Previous permanent employees of the facility are not eligible
Candidates must be proficient in one or more these areas:
- General Surgery
- Orthopedic Surgery (Total Joints Required)
- Neuro Surgery (Craniotomy and Spine Required)
- Vascular Surgery
- Trauma Surgery
- Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci Experience Required)
- Transplant Surgery (Preferred but not required)
- Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights
- Call required on weekdays and weekends
- Weekend call may include Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday
- Up to 3 weekend call shifts during a 6-week schedule period
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- In-house call rooms available
- No block scheduling available
