Unit 45 (Short Stay/Medicine/Telemetry) Part-Time Registered Nurse 2, 7:00PM-7:30AM, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus, at GBMC Health Care.

• Under general supervision, provides direct patient care to assigned patients.
• Utilization of Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Administers medications, IV therapy and treatments appropriately and accurately.
• Initiates appropriate emergency procedures as necessary and coordinates patient care with other disciplines.
• Manages daily patient assignments, prioritizes care, and delegates duties to ancillary personnel as appropriate.
• Documents patient status and plan of care in the medical record and communicates with physicians, nurses and other health care professionals.
• Provides patient teaching and participates in discharge planning and quality improvement activities.
• Participates in unit-level clinical monitoring and addresses patient, staff, and patient-care problems by taking action or referring as needed.
• May participate in RN 3 activities, serve as a charge RN if competent, and precept new staff.

• Education:
  
  Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Licensures/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse;
  Healthcare Provider CPR (biennial); additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) for specialty care areas are required upon hire.
• Experience:
  
  One-year Registered Nurse experience required.
• Skills:
  
  Proficiency in developing nursing plans of care, strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective planning and organizational abilities, analytical skills, and computer proficiency; ability to provide patient experience and service recovery.

• Pay Range: $31.25 - $48.02 per hour. Final salary offers based on qualifications, education, experience, and organizational needs.
