The Department of Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking an experienced (or new Grad) and collaborative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Interventional Cardiology Service. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside nationally recognized cardiologists, fellows, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals in a highly specialized academic medical center.
As a key member of the Interventional Cardiology team, you will provide comprehensive inpatient care for patients undergoing advanced cardiac procedures and treatment for complex cardiovascular conditions. This role is ideal for an APP who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values interdisciplinary collaboration, and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient‑centered care.
Work schedule40 hours/week, 12.5 (2x) and 13.5 (1x) hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. No holiday or weekends.

Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients with complex medical and cardiovascular conditions
- Perform detailed histories and physical examinations for newly admitted patients.
- Manage and follow inpatient pre‑ and post‑procedural interventional cardiology patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic studies, including laboratory tests, EKGs, and imaging studies.
- Initiate, adjust, and manage medication regimens and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and consulting services to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Facilitate safe and efficient patient transitions and discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, prognoses, and follow‑up care.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and comprehensive documentation within the electronic medical record (EPIC)
- Participate in continuing education activities, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital committees focused on patient safety and clinical excellence.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to manage acute and complex cardiovascular patients in a dynamic inpatient setting.

- Proficiency with electronic medical records and computerized clinical systems.
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current Maryland PA licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
- Physician Assistant National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (certification eligibility for new grads).
- Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program with current Maryland NP licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
- Nurse Practitioner Certification:
Adult‑Gerontology Acute Care NP, Acute Care NP, or Adult Care Acute Certifications. - Maryland CDS and Federal DEA registration (or eligibility).

Required:
BLS & ACLS. - Successful completion of the Johns Hopkins Credentialing process.
Salary Range
:
Minimum $58.03/hour - Maximum $89.94/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
