Summary
JOB SUMMARY :
Under limited supervision, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates education programs based upon adult learning principles for Critical Care and Cardiac nursing services. Adheres to the ANA Nursing Professional Development Scope and Standards. Utilizes and applies organizational policies and procedures. Provides service line support for nursing staff within the Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Care units
. Supports hospital wide education programs in addition to service line initiatives. Works within the Department of Clinical Excellence to elevate nursing professional practice and strengthen the delivery of high-quality care.
Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline. Master's in Nursing required. National Certification required (Nursing Specialty, Nursing Professional Development or ASTD). Previous education/teaching experience preferred. 3-5 years of experience in a critical care acute care setting. Maryland Registered Nurse License, American Heart Association BLS Certification, AHA BLS Instructor Certification, ACLS and ACLS Instructor as appropriate.
