LPN - Hospital Float
Job Description
The LPN Hospital Float position involves providing comprehensive care across various units, including Subacute Rehab and Long-Term Care. The role requires a minimum of one year of experience in nursing, with a strong focus on delivering personalized care based on individual patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
- Administer medications and manage various treatment plans.
- Monitor vital signs and document patient status changes.
- Implement care plans in coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide support for patients with cognitive impairments and chronic illnesses.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within patient care areas.
- Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to manage patient care efficiently.
- Active LPN license in Maryland or a Compact State license.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
This is a night shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with a commitment to every other weekend. Candidates should be prepared to work every other holiday.
