Job Summary
The Clinical Quality Improvement Nurse oversees performance improvement and patient safety initiatives for trauma and/or burn patients across the continuum of care. This role ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and verification standards while partnering with medical directors, program leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
Essential Functions- Coordinates trauma and/or burn performance improvement and patient safety programs.
- Collaborates with program leadership to establish and achieve quality improvement goals.
- Develops, implements, and monitors policies, procedures, and clinical practice guidelines.
- Reviews clinical outcomes, audit filters, and performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Prepares and facilitates case reviews, quality meetings, and M&M conferences.
- Monitors compliance with evidence-based care standards and verification requirements.
- Serves as a clinical resource for trauma and burn care across multidisciplinary teams.
- Acts as a liaison with EMS providers, hospitals, community partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Supports ongoing quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and program performance.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing;
Masters preferred
Current RN licensure in the applicable state. Specialty certifications: (TCRN, CEN, PCEN, and/or burn-specific credentials) preferred; required within 2 years of employment.
Work Experience5 years of experience required, with trauma/burn nursing experience preferred.
Salary RangeMinimum 47.96/hour - Maximum 74.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
