RN Nurse Supervisor:
Full Time Evenings
Three (3) evenings per week: 3 pm to 11:30 pm, plus every other weekend 7 pm to 7 am.
Location:
Baltimore, MD.
Pay: $49–$55 per hour, based on experience. Weekend differential of $7 per hour.
About the RN Supervisor roleThe RN Nursing Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality patient care. The position is responsible for managing daily nursing operations, coordinating patient care activities, fostering a collaborative environment among multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and serving as a mentor and resource for nursing staff. The RN Supervisor drives operational excellence by balancing clinical expertise with effective team management to achieve optimal resident outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of nursing experience, with long‑term care or supervisory experience preferred.
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Knowledge of Maryland nursing regulations and CMS long‑term care requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
- Monitor patient care standards and implement improvements to enhance quality and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to develop and execute care plans.
- Conduct staff training and performance evaluations and provide ongoing mentorship to nursing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and accreditation standards.
- Manage staffing schedules, resolve conflicts, and address any personnel issues promptly.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to policy development and implementation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to nursing activities and patient care.
