University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is looking for extraordinary Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our nursing team. UMMC is the flagship academic medical center at the heart of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) located in downtown Baltimore.
The Main PACU is a 28‑bay unit providing 24/7 specialized peri‑anesthesia care to patients across the lifespan and spectrum of acuity, 365 days a year. Vigilant pre and post‑operative care is provided to inpatients and outpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgery by more than 20 surgical and procedural services. This team’s versatility serves patients treated by a broad array of surgical and medical specialties, providing a variety of clinical experiences for the life‑long learner.
Nurses must be competent in titration of vasopressors, airway management, care of ventilated patients, blood product administration and fluid resuscitation.

Job RequirementsThe ideal candidate for this role will have over 2 years of ICU experience.
Education and Experience- Competent evaluation with successful passing of probation; current on all mandatory classes/training.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
- Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education/year.
- Member of a professional organization.
- Recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting.
