Sinai Hospital's Float Pool is currently looking for a Registered Nurse with a flexible and adaptable approach to patient care and dedication to providing exceptional nursing support across various units and specialties.

The Float Pool at Sinai Hospital is a designated supplemental staffing pool designed to be used by nursing areas when unit staffing is insufficient to meet patient care needs. We currently have openings for full‑time and part‑time positions, all of which are eligible to participate in the clinical ladder as well as committees throughout the hospital.

As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age‑appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

• Telemetry experience required
• Peds/PICU/NICU experience required
• 2+ years of experience required
• RN License in Maryland or Compact State (as applicable)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• STABLE within 6 months of hire
• Chemo/biotherapy provider course within 6 months of hire
• Preferred:
  Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – Pediatric or Neonatal

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Trauma Certification within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of hire

Float Pool staff will follow a 6‑week schedule and a weekend obligation of 4 shifts, 3 major holidays and 2 difficult‑to‑staff days required. All staff are eligible for shift incentives once flex obligations have been met.
