RN, Surgical Assistant, Operating Room Nurse

Day shift, 5 days a week, from 06:45 AM to 03:15 PM.

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and serves as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. This position requires proficiency in various surgical services including Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, and more. The OR at the specified facility is known for its excellent clinical care, advanced technology, and commitment to minimally invasive techniques.

• Provide safe and effective patient care in the operating room.
• Function as a resource for patients and their families.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure quality care delivery.
• Maintain standards for surgical education and academic collaboration.
• Assist in various surgical procedures across multiple specialties.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Completion of a 16-hour Maryland approved trauma course within 27 weeks.
• 8-hour annual trauma CEUs are required.
• Valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, BLS.
