RN Supervisor, Full Time EveningsLocation:
Baltimore, MD, US.
Hours:
Three (3) evenings per week: 3 pm to 11:30 pm, plus every other weekend 7 pm to 7 am.
Salary: $49.00‑$55.00 hourly + Weekend Differential $7 per hour (pay based on experience).
About the RN Supervisor roleThe RN Nursing Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality patient care. The position manages daily nursing operations, coordinates patient care activities, fosters a collaborative environment among multidisciplinary teams, ensures compliance with regulations, and provides mentorship and performance evaluations.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
- Monitor patient care standards and implement improvements to enhance quality and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to develop and execute care plans.
- Conduct staff training and performance evaluations and provide ongoing mentorship to nursing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and accreditation standards.
- Manage staffing schedules, resolve conflicts, and address any personnel issues promptly.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to policy development and implementation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to nursing activities and patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required.
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of nursing experience, with long‑term care or supervisory experience preferred.
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Knowledge of Maryland nursing regulations and CMS long‑term care requirements.
The RN Supervisor utilizes clinical expertise and leadership skills daily to guide nursing teams in delivering exceptional patient care. Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities are essential for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing complex schedules, ensuring regulatory compliance, and applying quality improvement measures. Proficiency with healthcare technology and EHR systems supports efficient workflow management and data‑driven decision‑making.
