Senior Clinical Nurse - Night Shift, Emergency Department

This Senior Clinical Nurse I, Night shift role is a leadership position focused on advancing clinical practice, quality, and unit operations.

• Provides independent care, serves as a clinical resource, and integrates evidence-based practices.
• Acts as a clinical expert and educator for unit nurses.
• Promotes clinical practice improvement and ensures patient safety and quality outcomes.

• Leads initiatives to improve Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators and performance improvement efforts.
• Monitors safety standards and complies with regulatory activities.
• Develops unit-level research and evidence-based practices.

• Performs charge nurse duties, mentors staff, oversees orientation, and acts as a liaison for unit services.
• Coaches nurses to maintain competencies and supports leadership development.

• Acts as a preceptor, mentor, and role model.
• Demonstrates ongoing professional growth through education, certification, or leadership roles.

• Maryland RN licensure or eligibility, up-to-date mandatory training, BSN or enrolled in BSN program, current BLS certification, relevant clinical experience, and ongoing education hours.
