Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
Location: Baltimore, MD
Agency: Fusion Medical Staffing
Pay: $2,034 – $2,164 per week
Shift Information: Nights – 3 days x 12 hours
Contract Duration: 14 weeks
Start Date: 8/3/2026
About the PositionFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled PICU RN for a 14‑week travel assignment in Baltimore, Maryland.
Provide advanced specialized care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a high‑acuity setting. Coordinate patient assessment, implement complex care plans, administer treatments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
Required Qualifications- One year recent experience as a PICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- CCRN certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required
- Explain procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to pediatric nursing protocols
- Prepare and operate advanced medical equipment (ventilators, central line setups, hemodynamic monitors)
- Continuously observe patient condition, record findings, notify physicians promptly
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and clinical data, initiate rapid interventions
- Respond to life‑saving situations per pediatric nursing standards
- Initiate patient education plans as prescribed
- Document all relevant history and assessments in medical records accurately
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient English reading, writing, and verbal communication
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, PC proficiency
- Physical abilities: maintain stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel, positive attitude, professionalism
- Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures, operate equipment
- Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration for detail
