• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds; work in a fast‑paced environment with potentially confused or agitated patients.

• BLS certification with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment.
