Job Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care, Med/Surg – Full‑time Night shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) at Sinai Hospital. Sign‑On Bonus potential: up to $10,000. Position:
Staff Nurse on a 40‑bed Progressive Care cardiac telemetry unit.

The Progressive Care unit cares for patients with chest pain, chronic heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, pre‑operative catheterization, or cardiac surgery. Patients may also be under 24‑hour observation. Daily nursing activities include bedside shift reports, assessments, hourly rounding, phlebotomies, IV insertions, aquapheresis, TR band recovery, patient education, and more. Collaboration occurs with physicians, case management, social work, and pharmacy during accountable care unit rounding.

The unit emphasizes autonomous nursing practice, communication, collaboration, and teamwork.

• Provide safe, age‑appropriate patient care.
• Execute hourly rounding, assessments, and routine interventions (phlebotomy, IV insertion, aquapheresis, TR band recovery).
• Participate in accountable care unit rounding with physicians, case management, social work, and pharmacy to discuss care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and procedures.

• Associate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.
• Knowledge of a specialized field in acute care nursing.
