Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative nursing care for OR patients in alignment with organizational policies and professional standards
  • Maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout a surgical case and coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and scrub personnel
  • Monitor patient status during anesthesia and intraoperative phases; assist with positioning, instrumentation, counts, and specimen handling
  • Document perioperative care accurately in the patient record; communicate changes and patient needs to the surgical team
  • Provide safe, age-appropriate nursing care, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy from pre-op through post-anesthesia care as applicable
Requirements
  • Active Maryland RN license with Nursys verification within 30 days
  • Minimum 2 years of recent General OR experience; required, with demonstrated experience in GYN, bariatrics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and plastics
  • COVID-19 vaccination (state-recorded; declinations not accepted)
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Willingness to work the facility’s schedule; no scheduling restrictions
  • Prior travel experience; locals accepted with no radius rule
  • Documentation: resume (gaps >30 days clearly explained), supervisory references from the last 6 months and last 12 months, OR skills checklist, RN license verification, and a facility profile page or equivalent (provided if not available)
