Job Description

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Manager or Assistant Manager, and under the Center Physician for medical issues.

• Determine donor eligibility and manage donor adverse events.
• Conduct informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical exam, and blood testing.
• Review laboratory results, including those of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results and manage donor notification procedures.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health/ER as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program.
• Licensed or certified RN, NP, or PA in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state IV therapy basic requirements.
• Complete FDA‑approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $36.96 – $50.82. Actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location.
