Med Star Union Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Surgery team. As part of the Med Star Heart & Vascular Institute, you'll contribute to advancing cardiovascular care on both a regional and national level.

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Surgery team at Med Star Union Memorial Hospital. We're helping move cardiovascular care forward regionally and nationally through our Med Star Heart & Vascular Institute, with clinical research, better diagnostic tools, and advanced treatments that are always patient focused.
This role will be inpatient. Primarily the duties of the role will be pre and post op care and determining plan of care.
This is a 36 hour, 7a-7p position. (Three 12-hour shifts weekly) The ideal candidate will have background experience in Cardiac surgery or a surgical setting.
Qualifications:- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner certificate program required
- Current national certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Two of years' experience as a practitioner preferred.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
- Current Maryland licensure.
- Certified in CPR, ACLS required.
