Job DescriptionVERY IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ! MON-FRI ( School Case) (7:00 AM - 5pm) ASSIGNMENT LOOKING TO STAFF IMMEDIATELY!
This will be a M-F school-based hours Schedule for the 23-24 School Year. No nights, no weekends, no on-call!
Openings are in multiple schools at the Baltimore City public school system
School LPNs have the following advantages:
- Monday through Friday schedule 7am-5pm
- Dayshift (times vary based on bus pick up and drop off)
- Federal and State holidays
- School breaks (Christmas, Winter break, Spring break, and acknowledge religious holidays)
- Inclement weather school closure days off
- One on One client care
- Maintain optimum health and well-being of the student
- May be assigned to up to four (4) students at a specific school location
- Provides skilled nursing care in various educational/scholastic environments
- Attend all in services, school conferences, and required trainings
- Confirm student's medical orders that comply with school policies, standards of practice, and all other applicable rules, regulations, and laws
- Collaborate with classroom staff and school officials to monitor and develop student goals
- Document in the student’s EMR all health services and screenings rendered
- Inform appropriate designee/school nurse of any changes or additions to the student’s medical care plan, procedure, medications, or additions necessary to the student’s medical supplies
- Maintain confidentiality in adherence to the Maryland Nurse Practice Act
- Performs specific treatments and administers medications as necessary
- Educates patients and family regarding the patient’s illness
- Applies independent emergency measures to counteract adverse developments notifies designee of patient’s condition
- Ensures the highest degree of quality care for the client and/or patient
Requirements to be considered:
- Current LPN license
- Current CPR/First Aid
- pre-employment criminal background,
- physical exam (within one year),
- Valid TB test
- Health Insurance (T&C applies)
