Job Summary
Blue Point Nursing and Rehab Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to lead and support our nursing team while ensuring the highest level of patient care. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced RN who is passionate about patient outcomes, staff development, and operational excellence in a skilled nursing environment.
As an RN Unit Manager, you will oversee daily clinical operations on your assigned unit, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards while fostering a supportive and patient-centered environment.
About the RoleProvide leadership and clinical oversight for nursing staff on the unit
Ensure delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, patients, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans
Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and education
Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
Clinical Leadership & Patient Care
Oversee and coordinate daily nursing operations on the unit
Assess residents’ physical and emotional needs and ensure appropriate care delivery
Review and update individualized care plans based on residents’ progress
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
Supervise, guide, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care plans
Ensure adherence to state, federal, and facility regulations
Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical records
Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives
Oversee administration of medications and treatments as prescribed
Ensure safe and effective medication practices

Active RN license in the state of Maryland
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
