Current experience with recovery of post-operative cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting.
Experience with ventilators, CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive drips titration, level 1 IABP, and ECMO.
Description:
The cardiovascular surgical ICU is an 18-bed unit.
It provides care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, the placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2.Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification, critical care certification, and completion of a trauma course.
Experience with electronic medical records systems is also preferred.
