This is a 13-week contract position with a rotating schedule consisting of 3x12-hour shifts (Day/Night) from 07:00 to 19:30 and 19:00 to 07:30.

The Pediatric Step Down Registered Nurse will work in a mixed unit that focuses on rehabilitation for pediatric patients. The position requires expertise in trach and ventilator management, with a strong emphasis on pediatric experience.

• Provide care for pediatric patients with conditions such as Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), spinal cord injuries, gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, burns, feeding disorders, and other complex medical needs.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more.
• Administer medications and manage various medical procedures specific to pediatric rehabilitation.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall health, ensuring appropriate care is provided at all times.
• Participate in family education and support to facilitate recovery processes.

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience.
• Must possess a valid RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
• BLS certification is required; CPI certification preferred.
• Experience with trach and ventilator management is necessary.
