Position Overview
The Registered Nurse – Pediatrics / PICU provides evidence-based, family-centered care to pediatric and adolescent patients requiring medical and intensive care. This role involves collaborating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and care teams to develop and execute individualized treatment plans, while educating and supporting families throughout hospitalization and discharge.
Responsibilities- Deliver compassionate nursing care to pediatric and critical-care patients.
- Coordinate with healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate families and provide emotional support during hospitalization.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required.
- Current Maryland RN license; BLS certification required; PALS within 6 months;
Oncology certification within 1 year.
