Registered Nurse II, FT, Emergency Department - MTC

Job Requirements

20K sign-on bonus offered.

The Emergency Department is a 23-bed unit that must provide initial treatment for a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries.

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or eligible to practice through Compact state agreements.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.
• Up-to-date status on all mandatory training and classes.

• Provides independent care to unit-specific patient population; acts as clinical resource for others, integrates evidence into practice, and functions effectively in unit-specific roles (e.g., arrest team for ICU, triage for ED).
• Serves as effective primary coordinating nurse; collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care addressing patient and family needs.
• Assists in team development and evaluation of the Relationship-Based Care model, suggests methods for improvement, and participates in collection of data related to outcomes (e.g., hand offs, medication safety).
• Participates in implementation efforts addressing Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators (NSQI).
