DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room position requiring open-heart surgery experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details- CVOR unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Call requirements include 2 weekday calls and 2 weekend calls in a 6-week period
- Weekday call runs Monday and weekend call runs Friday 1600 to Monday 0600
- Active RN license (MD state license or compact license) required
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required, within the last 7 years
- Open-heart surgery OR experience required
- Must be able to scrub for cardiovascular procedures
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
- Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years
- Driver's license copy required at time of consideration for local status determination
- Performs scrub duties for a range of vascular, cardiovascular, and thoracic procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, VAD placement, aortic aneurysm repair, carotid procedures, and thoracic surgeries such as VATS and thoracotomy
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per 13-week contract, must be submitted with initial profile and cannot be changed after submission
- Returning staff must have been separated from prior employment at the health system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
- Manager interviews are not guaranteed
