Job TitleRegistered Nurse – NICU / Pediatric
LocationBaltimore, MD | Acute Care – Pediatric/Surgical Unit
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | 3x12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts (07:00–19:30 / 19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Pediatric/Surgical unit with a focus on neonatal and pediatric populations
- Manage and monitor patients with conditions including prematurity, AOP, ROP, BLD/CLD, cardiac defects, feeding issues, NAS, and iatrogenic NAS
- Deliver care to patients requiring tracheostomy (Trach) management — experience required
- Float within specialty as required; travelers are first to float
- Participate in rotating day and night shifts, including every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with NICU background required
- Active Maryland RN License or active Compact License at time of submission required
- BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Tracheostomy experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible — locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless the posting specifically states otherwise
- Former staff of this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 12 months before returning as a traveler
- Experience in a PCU or Step-Down setting within a pediatric or neonatal environment
- Familiarity with cardiac defects, prematurity management, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)
- NRP certification (NRP or AAP accepted)
- CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the currently accepted online vendor)

- Expected 36 hours per week with a rotating schedule offering variety across day and night shifts
