RN - CVICU

CICU/CVICU RN - Nights - 13 Weeks Contract Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend and holidays required.

The CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care to adults and geriatric patients within a 15-bed unit. Candidates should have strong experience in CVICU or similar settings. Responsibilities include the management of patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, monitoring their vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet the patients' needs.

• Patient care for adults and geriatrics in a CVICU setting.
• Care of patients on advanced therapies such as LVAD and heart transplants.
• Perform bedside procedures including central line placements and chest tube insertions.
• Manage complex cases including cardiogenic shock and cardiac arrhythmias.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVICU setting preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland or compact state.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS; CCRN preferred.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
