Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Infusion

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Ambulatory Infusion Clinic position requiring strong IV insertion skills and prior RN experience.

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must be highly proficient in peripheral IV insertion and blood draw techniques
• Skilled in accessing, maintaining, and de-accessing central lines
• Strong assessment skills across a variety of medical conditions with ability to provide patient education
• ACLS certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Prior ambulatory infusion and travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a comparable large facility setting (500+ bed count) required

• Ambulatory infusion setting serving non-oncology infusion patients and adults with Sickle Cell Disease
• Fast-paced infusion center with continuous patient monitoring during treatment
• Patients are released home following completion of their procedure
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (four 10-hour shifts)
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend with Saturday/Sunday hours of 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Provide ongoing monitoring and rapid intervention for patients during infusion treatments in a supportive, patient-focused environment
• Deliver patient education related to treatment and condition management
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate
• First-time travelers with strong, relevant experience will be considered
