The Clinical Nurse III is a full-time, on-site role based in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area. This role provides advanced nursing care, including comprehensive patient assessments, development and implementation of care plans, and coordination of services across multidisciplinary teams. The Clinical Nurse III monitors patient progress, administers treatments and medications in accordance with clinical guidelines, and ensures accurate documentation in health records.
Daily responsibilities include patient and family education, participation in quality improvement initiatives, and adherence to public health protocols and regulatory standards. The role may also involve mentoring other nursing staff, contributing to policy development, and supporting community health programs and outreach activities.
- Advanced clinical nursing competence, including patient assessment, care planning, and administration of treatments and medications.
- Strong skills in patient and family education, health promotion, and communication with diverse populations.
- Experience with clinical documentation, electronic health records, and adherence to regulatory and public health standards.
- Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, support quality improvement projects, and participate in community health initiatives.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, with eligibility to practice in the District of Columbia; BSN required, MSN or advanced certification preferred.
- Several years of progressively responsible clinical nursing experience, ideally in public health, community health, or acute care settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in fast-paced environments, manage multiple priorities, and apply sound clinical judgment.
