Job Summary:

Provide direct bedside care to adult and geriatric patients in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility. Assist with daily patient activities, ensuring safety and comfort while adhering to facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions, including vital signs and physical status.
• Perform basic nursing tasks under supervision, such as specimen collection and medication assistance.
• Ensure a safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures.
• Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in accordance with facility policies.
• Float across units as needed within scope to meet staffing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Maryland GNA certification at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 2 years of CNA/GNA experience; first-timers accepted with proper certification.
• Be certified in basic life support (BLS) through AHA.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality with no tolerance for tardiness or unexcused absences.
• Possess effective communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
• Comply with all state licensure requirements and certification standards.
