Department: Quality Assurance / Laboratory

Reports To: QC Manager or Laboratory Supervisor

Position Summary

The Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory testing and inspections to ensure raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet company and regulatory quality standards. This role supports production by maintaining accurate documentation, conducting analytical testing, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
  • Conduct physical, chemical, and/or microbiological testing according to SOPs
  • Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain laboratory equipment through calibration, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results
  • Maintain proper documentation in accordance with GMP, GLP, or ISO standards
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and lab samples as required
  • Monitor environmental conditions within the lab and production areas if applicable
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of laboratory experience (Quality Control environment preferred)
  • Familiarity with GMP, GLP, or ISO quality systems
  • Experience with analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, spectrophotometer, pH meter, balances, etc.) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, LIMS systems preferred)
