Job Overview

The Consultant, Aftersales Accessory Parts is responsible for ensuring that all accessory components required for vehicle processing and installation are available, optimized, and effectively supported within the distribution and production environment. This role works closely with MBUSA’s Aftersales Business Development department, production teams, warehouse operations, and facility leadership to forecast demand, maintain adequate stock levels, and continuously improve accessory-related processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and experienced in fast-paced automotive or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Accessory Parts Forecasting & Planning (20%)
  • Collaborate with MBUSA’s central Aftersales Business Development team to develop accurate short- and long-term forecasts for accessory components used in vehicle preparation and installation
  • Analyze historical consumption patterns, production schedules, launch volumes, seasonal trends, and accessory take rates to determine optimal stocking strategies
  • Identify risks in supply availability and develop mitigation plans to avoid production delays
Inventory & Stock Management (25%)
  • Ensure daily stocking levels of accessory parts adequately support productions schedules, quality targets, and installation requirements
  • Monitor real-time accessory performance, including safety stock, reorder points, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy
  • Provide continuous analysis to reduce lost revenue or supply interruptions and expedite needs
  • Execute ordering of accessory parts
Warehouse Capacity & Flow Optimization (15%)
  • Assess warehouse storage capacities and material flow requirements to support accessory stocking and availability
  • Recommend layout improvements, racking adjustments, staging strategies, or automation opportunities to optimize efficiency
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboard related to accessory availability, forecast accuracy, inventory health, and process performance
  • Prepare data-driven recommendations for leadership on inventory strategies, resource requirements, process optimization, and upcoming operational risks
  • Conduct root-cause analyses on discrepancies or material shortages and drive corrective action implementation
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%)
  • Serve as facility’s subject-matter expert on accessory parts requirements, dependencies, and best practices
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing quality, reducing lead time, improving efficiency, and minimizing waste related to accessory operations
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Production, and central Aftersales teams to streamline accessory workflows and documentation
Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field

Experience

3+ years of experience in automotive, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain

Skills
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel/Data tools
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaborations abilities
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on operational involvement
