Responsibilities

Summary:

The Quality Assurance/Training Coordinator serves as the coordinator for reporting, compliance, and training initiatives that apply to the contracts. These initiatives include, but are not limited to, accreditation and licensing, customer and agency‑based audits and administrative and QA‑based reports and coordination/tracking of internal and external training. This position works with the State QA and Training Director to collect, research, analyze and report on program outcomes data to determine the effectiveness, quality and integrity of programs and identifies areas of improvement.

The position further assumes specific projects that focus on improving the practices of personnel to ensure compliant operations, adherence to company standards, and customer contract conditions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Quality Assurance/Training Coordinator actively facilitates the implementation and compliance of accreditation and licensing standards.
  • Actively engaged in internal and external regulatory compliance processes (ensuring preparedness for regulatory audits, contractual compliance). Conducts new hire orientation and required staff training.
  • The Quality Assurance/Training Coordinator conducts audits of assessments and treatment services to ensure fidelity and adherence to time frames.
    • Drafts responses to variances from Audits.
    • Tracks and records staff productivity.
  • Implements Quality Assurance Tools.
  • The Quality Assurance/Training Coordinator adheres to the Continuous Quality Improvement Audit Schedule.
  • Conducts clinical file reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provides training for programming staff in conjunction with the Continuum of Care Training Institute.
  • Maintains database for all training information and records including training logs and tracking system for internal certification process. Provides training participants with appropriate certificates. Provides management with data regarding training delivery.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of personnel when they need to attend GEO’s initial/ongoing training and pre‑service and annual training with the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
