Position Summary
- Under general supervision and reporting to the Director of Quality Operations, the CMM Programmer manages the day‑to‑day operation of a coordinate measuring machine to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. 75% onsite, 25% remote programming.
- Travel periodically to other locations.
- Extensive knowledge of Calypso and PCDMIS; potential for relocation assistance available.
- Set up and run existing programs, perform alignment, daily calibration, and understand basic program commands and datum structure.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
- Review inspection records for compliance.
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
- Prepare and coordinate non‑conformance reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts.
- CMM programming skills in PCDMIS, Calypso, and other programming languages.
- Perform FAI’s – AS9102; hand measurement tools; other inspection devices such as 3D scanners, FARO arms.
- Dimensional inspection of aerospace machined components.
- GD&T (ASME Y14.5), blueprint interpretation.
- Quality Management Systems and performance metrics.
- Some knowledge of Catia and CAD desired.
- Fluent English reading and writing.
- Professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong independent decision‑making, analytical skills, and professional judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products; basic Excel required.
- Effective communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability to a high‑growth, fast‑paced organization.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- High school graduate or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 to 10 years experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace machined components.
- PCDMIS experience required.
- US citizenship required.
- Must pass pre‑hire background check (drug and MVR screening).
- Reliable transportation with current active driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Perform work efficiently, effectively and timely with minimal direction.
- Required to participate in physical activities including light lifting and prolonged sitting.
- Vision sufficient to read printed documents, computer screens, and observe behavior of others.
- Typical manufacturing plant or office conditions (qualified as appropriate).
- Typical hours Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; occasional extended hours and weekend overtime may be required.
- Use hands or fingers to handle, feel tools, or controls; occasional standing, walking (approx. 1–2 mi/day), reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Occasional driving long distances to and from suppliers.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 lb.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, adjustment of focus.
- Moderate to high noise level in work environment.
- 12 days paid vacation first year, increasing with service years.
- 10 days paid sick time.

- Employee referral bonus: initial $750 paid upon hire of qualified referred employee (rehires excluded); additional $750 paid upon referral’s full completion of 90 days of employment.
- Pay range $33.00–$52.00 per hour (eligible for overtime; salary information is a general guideline only).
