FIP Inspector

JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective

Process vehicles to prepare for pick and delivery.

• Drive vehicles in shop to process.
• Place throw-in items in vehicles such as mats and books.
• Change lug nuts.
• Place a label on vehicle.
• Drive vehicles out of the shop to appropriate location.
• Effective communicator in listening, writing, and verbal.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities.
• Punctual and dependable.

This position has no direct reports.

Light physical activity performing non‑strenuous daily activities of an administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime.

This position does not have any travel requirements.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Card). Must have a valid Driver’s License.

This position offers an hourly rate of $18.00 per hour.
