QA/QC Inspector I
Responsible for verifying and validating that products and services meet specified requirements across all phases of the Quality Assurance Inspection processes. Reports to the Quality Manager and supports the Quality Assurance department in Nottingham, MD and Timonium, MD.
Location &
Schedule:
Nottingham, MD. Monday through Friday, 6:00AM to 2:30PM with routine overtime. Occasional travel between the Nottingham Business Distribution Center and Timonium site; initial training (1+ month) at the Timonium site.
- Ensure melt‑blown filter media, sub‑assemblies, and finished cartridges meet internal specifications, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Support extrusion, assembly, and finishing operations through timely inspection, testing, and non‑conformance management.
- Protect product integrity by maintaining compliance with the site Quality Management System (ISO / regulated manufacturing environment).
- Perform final inspection of finished products in accordance with approved specifications, inspection procedures, sampling plans, and quality documentation.
- Verify that finished products meet visual, functional, and performance requirements prior to release.
- Inspect product characteristics related to integrity, sealing, leak prevention, and overall compliance to ensure product is acceptable for shipment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two (2) years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment operating under ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485.
- Experience in filtration, polymer processing, extrusion, medical device, or cartridge assembly manufacturing preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
- Visual acuity of 20/25 or better (with correction); ability to pass Ishihara Color Vision and Jaeger Level 1 vision examinations.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Hourly range: $24.00 per hour. Bonus/incentive pay eligibility. Comprehensive benefit package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
