ASR Group is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, operating six refineries across North America and two in the EU.
OVERVIEWThe Lab Technician conducts quality testing for the refinery’s products, maintains calibrated instrumentation, enters data into SAP for COA generation, performs environmental sampling, and engages in other projects assigned by supervisor.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform routine quality analyses such as sediment, grain size distribution, color, brix, polarity, pH, and environmental analyses.
- Monitor and maintain calibrations for lab equipment.
- Monitor lab instrument performance; make adjustments and alert supervisor to instrument problems.
- Report equipment condition and recommend replacements when necessary.
- Enter raw data into multiple databases and maintain chronology of entries.
- Collect environmental samples at multiple sites during sugar detector TOC alarm conditions and weekly sampling protocol.
- Analyze environmental samples to determine sucrose levels.
- Uphold standards for work area cleanliness.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Enter data into SAP for generation of COAs.
- Communicate results to stakeholders and uphold high customer service standards.
- Quality inspection experience.
- Experience requiring mathematical and scientific skill sets.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field from an accredited college/university.

SALARY PAY RANGE$41,500 - $69,500.00
