Job Overview
Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Research Field Coordinator to support the HERO Plus study in the Department of Health Behavior & Society. The Coordinator will administratively coordinate the research protocol implementation of a single complex study or multiple studies, ensuring efficient logistical implementation and providing administrative support for all related issues.
Responsibilities- Coordinate all activities of a complex research study or multiple studies to ensure validity of findings.
- Work with the Principal Investigator or senior research staff to develop operational plans to meet research goals.
- Develop tools and procedures for data collection and study processes.
- Collect and organize data per study requirements, such as participant interviews, questionnaires, background research, laboratory processing, etc.
- Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures.
- Assist with setup of data collection system and enter and organize data.
- Oversee record management for the research study.
- Oversee budget expenditures for study operations.
- Assist in coordinating study meetings.
- Participate in study meetings and provide updates on protocol implementation status, and make recommendations on operational issues.
- Conduct literature searches to provide background information.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Collaboratively develop research plans, study instruments, IRB amendments, and research protocols and operating procedures.
- Collaboratively assist in quantitative and qualitative data analyses.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- One year of related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by JHU equivalency formula.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
