Research Fellow – General Surgery Research
Under the direct mentorship of a faculty physician and research staff members, the research fellow will contribute to high‑impact clinical and translational research, assisting in study design, implementation, data management, and manuscript preparation. This full‑time position offers exposure to all phases of the research process and allows the development of research skills through observation, instruction, lecture, and independent study.
Responsibilities- Assist in protocol development, literature reviews, IRB submissions, and coordination of faculty‑led investigations.
- Collect, manage, and analyze data using software such as REDCap, SPSS, or R, contributing to high‑quality publications.
- Prepare abstracts, manuscripts, grant materials, and present research findings at conferences.
- Adhere to Department and Hospital infection control and safety policies.
- Work primarily in the office and outpatient clinics, supporting research activities.
- MD, DO, or equivalent terminal degree.
- Less than one year of research experience.
