Description

The Johns Hopkins University’s Department of Applied Mathematic sand Statistics invites applicants for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow. The successful candidate will collaborate with Dr. Mauro Maggioni's research team on projects in the area of artificial intelligence and digital twins. The Maggioni team specializes in mathematical techniques for analyzing, modeling, and extracting information from large data sets in order to enable smarter machine learning algorithms and scientific discoveries.

The teaching load for this position will be no more than one course each semester, depending on funding and the needs of the department, so that the appointee will have ample time for research. The appointment is for two years, with the possibility ofrenewal, depending on funding availability.

Qualifications

A PhD in Mathematics or related field, with a strong record of research, is required. Selected candidate must have completed their

PhD prior to appointment start date.

Salary Range
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
