Overview
PREP Research Associate – National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This position supports the NIST artificial intelligence research and evaluation programs as part of the Professional Research Experience (PREP) program.
Research TitleArtificial intelligence research and evaluation programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in finalizing and disseminating program publications or other written work products.
- Assist with adjudicating public comments related to NIST's Zero Draft Pilot Project or other deliverable comment periods, and prepare written analysis of feedback for the project team.
- Support investigations related to program activities through empirical research.
- Support senior leaders in analyzing and reviewing a variety of sources including media reports and legislation for their impact on the NIST artificial intelligence program.
- Bachelor's degree in social science or related major.
- Understanding of American government and politics.
- Familiarity with empirical research methods.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position. The actual compensation offered may vary based on factors including experience, location, and internal equity.
