Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
We are seeking a Laboratory Aide who will carry out experiments under close supervision of a faculty investigator, senior technician, or postdoctoral fellow in a laboratory. Follows routine protocols under close supervision.
Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesUse basic science knowledge to learn techniques and methods of the lab.
Perform laboratory tests and/or experiments following established procedures or protocols.
Operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
Develop a basic tracking database/spreadsheet based on study requirements utilizing Excel, Access, or similar software applications.
Maintain accurate and detailed records, present data summaries, identify and resolve common problems, and use basic analytical skills to implement assigned projects.
Use basic laboratory skills: processing, storing, labeling, and identifying study samples.
Maintain and make minor adjustments to equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Currently pursuing a high school diploma with some science coursework.
Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula
