Position Summary
The LCSR research team at Johns Hopkins University is developing advanced simulation technologies for robotic endovascular interventions (robot‑assisted procedures inside blood vessels). We are seeking Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Engineers.
The ideal candidate should have experience in one or more of the following:
- Computational Biomechanical Simulation – soft tissue and fluid mechanics
- Medical Imaging Simulation – primarily X‑ray angiography with biomechanical simulation
- Experimental validation of simulation outputs – developing and applying instrumented bench‑top phantoms
The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in one or more of the listed research areas, works well in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment, and can quickly develop innovative solutions. Candidates who are available to start by August 4, 2026, are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications- Doctoral degree in computer science, information systems, biomedical engineering, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
$75,000 - $80,000
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
