Field Research Coordinator (Health, Behavior and Society

Johns Hopkins, founded in 1876, is America's first research university and home to nine world-class academic divisions working together as one university.

The Health, Behavior and Society Department is seeking a Field Research Coordinator. The Field Research Coordinator administratively coordinates the research protocolimplementation of a single complex study or multiple studies. Willensure the efficient logistical implementation of the studyactivities and provide administrative support for all related issues. The selected candidate would also support the Overdose Data2 Action Harm Reduction Services Evaluation in Maryland.

• Coordinate all activities of a complex research study ormultiple studies to ensure validity of findings.
• Work with the Principal Investigator or senior research staffto develop operational plans to meet research goals.
• Develop tools and procedures for data collection and study processes.
• Collect and organize data per study requirements, e.g.,participant interviews, administer questionnaires; conductbackground research, laboratory processing, etc.
• Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures.
• Assist with setup of data collection system and enter and organize data.
• Oversee record management for research study.
• Oversee budget expenditures for study operations.
• Assist in coordinating study meetings.
• Participate in study meetings and provide updates on protocolimplementation status and make recommendations on operationalissues.
• Conduct literature searches to provide backgroundinformation.
• Other duties as assigned.

In addition to the duties described above

• Facilitate multiple forms of data collection, including briefsurveys and in-depth interviews.
• Collaboratively develop research plans, study instruments, IRBamendments, and research protocols and operating procedures.
• Collaboratively assist in quantitative and qualitative dataanalyses.

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• One year of related experience.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience,and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, tothe extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except forthose employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
