Description:

Applicants are invited for a post-doctoral researcher position within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, in Baltimore. The selected candidate will be involved in NIH-funded clinical neuroimaging and cognitive research study in Parkinson's disease. Opportunities will be provided to learn about clinical research, behavioral and neuropsychological assessments, as well as image processing in collaboration with our image processing engineers.

Writing manuscripts and applying for independent research grants will be strongly encouraged.

Qualifications:
  • The qualified candidate should have a Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in neurosciences, psychology, biomedical engineering, or other related fields.
  • Ideal candidates will have one to three (1-3) years of relevant experience in cognitive systems and/or clinical neuroimaging research, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Previous experience in neuroimaging research or research in Parkinson's disease or aging is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis software and for imaging processing of structural and functional MRI data (e.g., SPM, FSL, AFNI, Neurobehavioral Systems) is highly desirable.
