General Description
Salary:
Dependent upon rank, Assistant Professor minimum $100,000
The candidate must be entering the first year as an Assistant Professor, will devote 100% effort to clinical trials, and be available by cell phone to field questions from clinical trial participants. The candidate must have prior experience in clinical research in retinal diseases and ocular oncology and be knowledgeable and experienced in each of the following.
- Clinical trial design
- Study start-up procedures
- IRB submissions
- Adverse event reporting
- Design of source documents
- Data entry into iMetadata
- Supervising and training study coordinators and post‑doctoral fellows
- Communicating with sponsors and CRO/CRAs
- Interacting with study monitors and overseeing monitoring visits
- Experience managing audits by the FDA and EMA
The candidate must have MD and MPH degrees and a degree in public health ophthalmology is desirable in addition to a MPH.
Salary RangeThe referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
