DescriptionThis position will provide training in a laboratory in the Department of NGenetic Medicine focused on Alzheimer’s Disease. The position is in a disease-oriented research group that addresses questions in basic neurobiology
Projects include:The person will be responsible for experiments related to multiple ongoing studies.
Duties assigned to this position will require an in ‐ depth knowledge of a specialized field, process, or discipline and mayinvolve organizing and implementing complex research plans, the development of methods of research, testing and data collection,analysis and evaluation, and writing reports containing descriptive, analytical and evaluative content.
The duties will require the exercise of independent discretion and judgment in carrying out research activities with the predetermined research scope and methodology.
It is expected that this individual will conduct independent scholarly research, and will contribute directly to the overall research goals of the project and the research group.
Postdocs will be expected to participate in project planning,recording and interpretation/evaluation of data, and communication of results. Postdocs will also be expected to acquire technical,lab management, and manuscript/grant writing skills; and participate in seminars, lectures, poster sessions and presentations at national meetings.

- The applicant must have a Doctoral degree in Cell and Molecular Biology.
- The applicant must have a Doctoral degree in Cell and Molecular Biology or any related field.
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may varyand will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
