Position

Summary

As a Server at Nick's Fish House, you are the face of our restaurant‑delivering exceptional service and ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. You'll be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages with efficiency and accuracy, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Working in a team‑service environment, you'll collaborate with fellow Front of House team members to maintain seamless service, assist with table setup and breakdown, and provide an unforgettable dining experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to guests.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring guest preferences and dietary needs are met.
  • Engage with guests to recommend menu items, answer questions about seafood selections, and enhance their dining experience with expert knowledge of Nick's offerings.
  • Deliver orders promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation and hospitality.
  • Assist in running food, bussing tables, and completing side work to support smooth operations.
  • Adhere to food safety and alcohol service regulations.
  • Work as part of a team‑service approach, collaborating with colleagues to maintain a stress‑free and engaging work environment.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor, embodying Nick's values of Excellence, Teamwork, Respect, and Accountability.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 2 years of server experience in a high‑volume restaurant.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering top‑tier guest experiences.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.
  • A positive, can‑do attitude with a sense of urgency.
  • A willingness to learn and share knowledge about our menu, seafood offerings, and seasonal specials.
  • TIPS certification is a plus but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements

Working as a Server at Nick's requires energy, agility, and endurance. Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods (6‑10 hours per shift).
  • Lift and carry trays of food and beverages weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions (such as carrying plates and wiping tables).
  • Work in a fast‑paced environment, often moving quickly between tables and stations.
