Summary

Operates cash register in Cafeteria, Cafe Shalom, or Marketplace; receives payments, gives change, and performs related clerical and sales duties depending on assignment.

PRN (ON CALL)

• Operate the cash register, make correct change, and issue receipts.
• Reconcile cash receipts after each meal period and complete cash handling records according to department procedure.
• Count money received and deposit with Supervisor.
• Perform full range of sales duties to actively promote sales: offer assistance, answer questions regarding merchandise, suggest items for purchase, explain merchandise and pricing; wrap or bag merchandise.
• Stock, arrange, straighten, and clean shelves, other shop areas, and storage area.
• Deliver merchandise from storage area to shop; receive and unpack shipments; verify accuracy; inspect items for damage, defects, or spoilage as appropriate.
• Prepare coffee and assemble a limited range of salads/sandwiches.
